The Shekere is a traditional rattle found throughout West Africa; ours features a durable white fiberglass body wrapped with a lattice of plastic beads. The large body, thick neck and wide mouth produce extremely low bass tones when struck on the bottom.
You can play it many ways: by shaking, twisting, tapping, pulling on the netting, etc.
Experiment - you'll get to know yours better the more you play with it!
